Become a Circle Leader
Join our community as a Circle Leader to access support, encouragement and resources as you lead your way out of poverty.
Individuals and Families at Circles® are called Leaders because they are the ones who lead themselves out of poverty on their unique path to prosperity. At Circles® nobody will tell you what to do. You will be encouraged and supported by a caring community of Allies, staff and volunteers. Before attending Circles you need to attend Getting Ahead.
After successfully completing the Getting Ahead course and coming along to Circles® for a while, you will be paired with 2–4 Allies who will walk alongside you during your journey forward. Allies are your biggest supporters as you work to achieve the goals you've set for yourself.

The Circles® program includes weekly gatherings where a meal and childcare is provided. As a Circle Leader, you will:

How to become a
Circle Leader
Taking Getting Ahead is the first step to becoming a leader. Getting Ahead involves meeting together over 12-15 weeks in a ‘kitchen table learning experience’. This program helps individuals to investigate their own resources, learn about poverty in their community and decide for themselves on the next steps for their journey forward. Motivated Graduates from Getting Ahead can then be invited to become Leaders at Circles.
